His production has also landed him on some of indie hip hop’s most prestigious invite only beat showcases including The Donut Lounge in NYC and Central California’s 1-800 Collect Call
As a DJ/selector Cephas has been spinning for 15+ years and has amassed a collection just north of 2,000 records
The collection ranges from jazz, funk, soul, hip hop, jungle, and reggae featuring rare white labels, b-sides, and remixes
Cephas is best known for his open format sets that blend multiple genres, styles, and eras
A collector of vintage synths Cephas often plays along with mixes adding new layers turning his sets into immersive improvisational jams
